The Church
leon RUSSELL, tulsa
overview
Ronnie’s home studio presented some very unique challenges which we were able to work into a design rivaling the best commercial studios. The team of true professionals converted his existing pool house into a fantastic sounding work space. This studio provided a challenge as the structure had limited ceiling height and Ronnie asked for the lounge upstairs to double as a drum booth. Isolation was difficult and a drum riser was utilized to manage leakage to the spaces below. Radar II was an important element for Ronnie to be able to play, sing and engineer his songs by himself before bringing the band in. Having an evenly balanced listening environment was paramount so the tone could be trusted in every area of the studio.
